Some organizations are continuing to move toward remote work through the rest of this year and possibly beyond. Will that development lead to increased contract management to address this development?
IHA’s Reese Guevarra is the NJ.com fan-selected Big North Conference Player of the Year
The fans have spoken.
Reese Guevarra, the do-it-all sophomore slugger from Immaculate Heart, tallied the most votes to become the NJ.com fan-selected Big North Conference Player of the Year.
Guevarra had a fantastic season on the field for IHA — and now she has the impressive title to match.
This season, the sophomore centerfielder was the offensive catalyst for the Blue Eagles, helping the Bergen County squad capture the Non-Public A crown for the first time since 2012 and its state-best 10th overall. Guevarra batted .557 with 67 hits, 38 RBI, 52 runs scored, 12 doubles, five triples and six home runs. She had double-digit hits in 20 games for Immaculate Heart, and her 67 hits on the season were good for a program record.
Big North Conference Player of the Year
PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Immaculate Heartwas one of the most impressive teams in the state in 2015, and a big reason for that was the spark they got from their lead-off hitter. Sophomore centerfielder Reese Guevarra was the offensive catalyst for the Blue Eagles, helping the Bergen County squad capture the Non-Public A crown for the first time since 2012 and its state-best 10th overall.
An excellent hitter, Guevarra batted .557 with 67 hits, 38 RBI, 50 runs scored, 13 doubles, five triples and six home runs. She had double-digit hits in 20 games for Immaculate Heart, and her 67 hits on the season were good for a program record. Her best statistical performance may have been against Passic County Tournament champion DePaul on April 4 when she went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, four runs driven in and two runs scored.
But Guevarra’s impact can’t just be measured by numbers. The future UConn player didn’t just set the tone by getting on base as well as driving in runs — she was also one of the best defensive centerfielders in the state with excellent range and a strong arm. She is the offensive and defensive centerpiece of a very young team and talented team that has the potential to become a juggernaut.
